Weather in the mountains
High air pressure and dry air masses are shaping the weather.
The first half of the day will still see good conditions in the mountains, with sunshine, but patches of low stratus clouds will be encountered at medium altitudes. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds will form, bringing with them an increased risk of thunderstorms.
Mountain weather tomorrow
Under the influence of a south-westerly upper-level flow, the Alps will remain under the influence of partly moist air masses.
Rain showers will move eastwards in the morning, but clouds will often cause restricted visibility throughout the day. In the afternoon, there may be a few brief showers here and there, but it will mostly remain dry.
